Blockchain-Enabled Secure Data Sharing Frameworks for Distributed Enterprise Applications

Abstract

Blockchain-enabled secure data sharing frameworks provide a promising approach for addressing security, privacy, trust, and interoperability challenges in distributed enterprise applications. Traditional data-sharing systems often depend on centralized authorities, creating single points of failure, limited transparency, and increased risks of unauthorized access and data manipulation. This framework integrates blockchain technology, smart contracts, cryptographic mechanisms, and decentralized storage to establish a secure and auditable environment for enterprise data exchange. Blockchain provides an immutable transaction ledger, while smart contracts automate access-control policies and validate data-sharing requests according to predefined organizational rules. Cryptographic techniques, including hashing, digital signatures, and encryption, protect data confidentiality and ensure integrity during transmission and storage. A permissioned blockchain architecture is proposed to support controlled participation among trusted enterprises while maintaining transparency and accountability.
