About the Award

The Innovation Award is a prestigious annual recognition presented by the International Journal of Emerging Trends in Engineering and Management Research (IJETEMR) to honour researchers, academicians, scientists, engineers, innovators, and industry professionals whose original ideas, technologies, methodologies, or research have demonstrated exceptional innovation and measurable impact.

The award recognizes individuals whose work has advanced knowledge, improved professional practice, contributed to technological development, or generated meaningful societal or industrial benefits.

The Innovation Award is conferred through an independent, transparent, competitive, and merit-based evaluation process. Selection is based exclusively on documented evidence of innovation and scholarly achievement and is not influenced by publication fees, nomination fees, institutional affiliation, or editorial discretion alone.

The Innovation Award aims to:

Award Frequency

Presented annually.
Normally one (1) recipient each calendar year.
Up to two (2) Honorable Mentions may be presented in exceptional cases.
The journal reserves the right not to confer the award if no nominee satisfies the required standard of excellence.

Eligibility

Applicants from universities, research institutions, government organizations, industry, start-ups, and independent research organizations worldwide are eligible.

Nominees should demonstrate:

Evidence of peer-reviewed scholarly work.
Documented innovation with academic, industrial, commercial, or societal significance.

Selection Process

Stage 1 – Eligibility Verification

The Editorial Office verifies eligibility requirements and supporting documentation.

Stage 2 – Independent Expert Evaluation

Eligible nominations are independently evaluated by the Award Evaluation Committee using the published evaluation rubric.

Stage 3 – Scoring and Ranking

Each nomination is scored according to the published criteria and ranked based on the overall evaluation.

Stage 4 – Final Approval

The committee's recommendation is reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and approved by the Editorial Board.

The Editorial Board's decision is final.

Award Evaluation Committee

The Award Evaluation Committee consists of experienced researchers, senior academics, industry experts, and innovation professionals with recognized expertise in their respective disciplines.

Committee members:

evaluate nominations independently;
maintain confidentiality throughout the review process;
disclose actual or potential conflicts of interest; and
recuse themselves from evaluating any nomination where a conflict exists.
