Deep Neural Network Based Image Recognition and Classification System for Intelligent Applications
Abstract
Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) have revolutionized the field of computer vision by enabling highly accurate image recognition and classification systems for intelligent applications. With the rapid growth of digital imagery from smartphones, surveillance systems, medical imaging, and autonomous vehicles, efficient automated image understanding has become essential. This research focuses on the design and development of a Deep Neural Network-based image recognition and classification system capable of learning hierarchical feature representations from large-scale image datasets
The proposed system leverages convolutional neural networks (CNNs), a specialized class of deep learning models, to automatically extract spatial features such as edges, textures, shapes, and complex object structures. The model is trained using large labeled datasets to classify images into predefined categories with high accuracy. Advanced optimization techniques such as backpropagation, gradient descent, dropout regularization, and batch normalization are utilized to improve learning efficiency and reduce overfitting
The system is evaluated based on accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, computational efficiency, and robustness against noisy data. Experimental results demonstrate that deep neural network-based models significantly outperform traditional machine learning approaches in image classification tasks. The study also explores applications in healthcare diagnostics, autonomous driving, facial recognition, and intelligent surveillance systems. The findings confirm that DNN-based image recognition systems provide scalable, adaptive, and highly accurate solutions for next-generation intelligent applications.
